Welcome aboard phats!!!
And to answer the OP, here goes:
People who make the committment of getting a dog..... but think it's OK to let it poop all over the place.
(Never go out the door without two poop bags in your pocket or a permanent poop bag dispenser on the leash.)

My Experience and how I finally let myself see the truth
by OneEyedJoe infirst off - for those lurkers who feel guilty just for being on this site and reading this (even if you don't read any further, as it is your right to choose that course) i want you to know that you're not alone in what you're going through or in what you are feeling.
if you read on, i hope my experience may be of some small help to you.. this may be long, but i'll try to organize it in a way that doesn't make it painful to read.
to start, i feel it is most beneficial if i'm upfront and honest with my goals from posting this, which are (in order of the degree to which they motivated me):.

Join a gym together and go to a group class.
Lots of nice "worldly" people there who will eventually be destroyed.
Try to make some good friendships there.

If this becomes an established ER protocol, I bet they'll cobble together some version of a dialysis machine, except it won't actually be doing any dialysis, it'll just be "circulating" the blood. And, lo and behold, this new machine will take about an hour before the highly diluted blood starts making its way back into the JW's body.
Hey, if it helps save some otherwise death-sentenced JWs, I'm all for it.

Not sure how you define "traction", but almost 2300 views isn't bad.
Jay Walters, aka Amazing, hasn't posted here in a long time, but his strategy of awakening his family gradually by keeping his elder hat and using the family study to plant seeds of critical thinking skills was a blueprint that also worked well for our family.
Thank you Jay!

Handing in '' Field Service Report '' even if you're very ill.
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy mom has not been to any meetings or participated in field service since august 2013. she cannot walk due to all her medical conditions.
she is either in bed or sitting in a wheel chair.. our family hired a caretaker monday - friday to help her eat, take her to the bathroom and sit with her in case she needs anything.
in the evenings and weekends, we have family members take care of her.

I remember when the "15 minute" option was put into effect. For someone like my aging Mother with multiple health problems, it truly has been a "loving provision". (I can't believe I just typed that.)
What's unloving is the whole hour-reporting, number-centric approach to FS and the labels (regular publisher, irregular, inactive) and guilt that go along with it. I'm pretty sure my Mom has always been able to get in at least an hour or two a month, but for her, it's comforting to know that the 15 minute option is there if she needs it.
The only way she will ever miss a month of FS is if she's in a coma. At this stage of her life, it's an integral part of who she is.
